Hi, I’m Suzie. 👋
Who I Am
My name is Suzie (Suzanne) Greco. I am a PhD candidate at the University of Edinburgh's Divinity School, an author, the director of the non-profit Italian Parish Records, and, fundamentally, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence. My journey from survivor to advocate drives my academic work and my activism.
Why I’m Walking (10 Miles Across Boston, MA)
I am walking to demand an end to the abuse of women and children within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As one of the world's largest and wealthiest global religions, it has a profound moral responsibility to protect the vulnerable. Yet, too often, systems fail, voices are silenced, and trauma is compounded.
I walk to break that silence.
By joining the Joint Learning Initiative's 100-mile campaign, I connect my steps to a larger purpose: bridging research and practice. JLIFLC ensures that the evidence gathered and the stories we share empower local faith communities, global organizations, and policymakers to confront this pressing challenge effectively. Walking is my act of solidarity—with fellow survivors, with advocates on the front lines, and with all who believe that faith communities must be sanctuaries of safety, not sources of harm.
Every mile I walk in is a step toward awareness, accountability, and a future where no one endures what I survived.
